TEN PRINCIPLES OF CARE
1. Your Loved One Always Stays in Our Care
At Ascension Cremation, we operate our own onsite crematory, ensuring your loved one remains under the care and supervision of our certified team throughout every step of the process.
2. Ensuring Secure Personal Identity
From the moment your loved one is brought into our care, a secure identification band is placed to ensure proper tracking throughout their time with us.
3. Comprehensive Tracking System
Upon arrival, your loved one is entered into our secure tracking system and assigned a unique identification number. This number is matched to a metal identification tag and QR-coded band, ensuring detailed monitoring throughout the process. All personal belongings are cataloged and returned to the family.
4. Family Identification Process
To ensure peace of mind, we offer two options for family identification before the cremation process begins. You may choose to view a secure photo of your loved one through our online portal or identify them in person at our facility. This step ensures accuracy and provides an additional layer of care and respect.
5. Double Verification System
To ensure full compliance with authorizations, two team members—one from our funeral team and one cremation technician—review and verify all necessary paperwork and permits before proceeding.
6. Cremation Documentation
Every cremation is carefully recorded in our cremation log, documenting the name, identification number, date and time of cremation, and the name of the crematory operator. The technician signs off on this log at both the start and completion of the process.
7. Continuous Oversight During Cremation
Throughout the cremation, a detailed checklist, identification card, and metal identification tag remain outside the cremation chamber to ensure proper tracking and verification.
8. Handling the Cremated Remains
Once the cremation is complete, the cremated remains are carefully placed, along with the identification tag, into the selected urn. The identification card is archived in our permanent records for future reference.
9. Caring Return of Cremated Remains
After the cremated remains are prepared, our team will contact you to arrange a time for pick-up. For your convenience, we also offer personal delivery to your home, a cemetery, or another designated location of your choice.
10. Support For Your Family
We understand the importance of honoring your loved one’s memory. Our team provides guidance on next steps, offering resources and
compassionate support to help you during this time.
